Glenn Donald Weston

Glenn Donald Weston, age 68, passed away on October 10, 2025.

Glenn Donald Weston, 68, Branson, MO, entered into rest on Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, at Cox Medical Center, Branson. Celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 15,2025, at 1 PM, Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.

Glenn was born June 18, 1957, in Ware, Massachusetts.  He was the son of Wilfred Donald and Barbara C. (Markey) Weston. After the untimely passing of Donald when Glenn was just a toddler, Barbara later married Joseph Hoyt, who lovingly helped raise Glenn as his own. Thefamily moved to Bayard, Iowa, where Glenn spent most of his childhood. At Bayard High School, he was an excellent athlete who played basketball, baseball, track and field, and was named MVP of the Bayard Red football team his senior year.

Glenn moved to the Tri-Lakes area from Bayard, Iowa in 1985 with his young and still growing family. A true jack-of-all-trades, he was one of the hardest workers anyone will ever know.

Over the years he was a farmer, a real estate broker, and a business owner. He ran his commercial cleaning company alongside multiple family members for many years, later he helped create and operate Mr. Green Thumb’s Garden Supply, where he got to show off his amazing gardening skills.

Glenn was married twice, and from those marriages came the six children and eight grandchildren who were the heart of his life. Somehow, between the hard work and raising 6 kids, he found time to enjoy some of his favorite hobbies — coaching his kids’ little league teams, golfing, fishing, hunting, traveling and watching his Cardinals, Chiefs, Hawkeyes and Cowboys. He was an excellent cook and grill master who took great joy in feeding family and friends. Known for his big heart, anyone could always turn to Glenn for help — whether they needed great advice or simply someone to lean on. He had a great sense of humor with his dad jokes, funny faces, or his fantastic Donald Duck impersonation, Glenn could put a smile on anyone’s face. Through all the hard work and many titles Glenn had throughout his life his absolute favorites were Dad, Brother, Uncle, and Papa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved granddaughter, Sydney (8).

Glenn is survived by his six children: Daniel Weston (Whitney) of Carl Junction, MO; Joshua Weston (Shannon) of Whispering Pines, NC.; Christopher Weston (Dustin) of Carl Junction, MO; Ryan Weston of Branson; Melissa Reynolds of Branson West, MO; Chelsea Cline (Jeremiah) of Springfield, MO. He is also survived by his brother Eric Hoyt and his sister Andrea Haynes both of Branson; seven grandchildren — Evan, Isla, Madelyn, Lydia, Dominic, Matthew and Addison.

He will be deeply missed by numerous family and friends.
