
Hubert I. "Bud" Puckett, age 82, passed away on October 6, 2025.
Hubert I. "Bud" Puckett, cherished husband, beloved father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, peacefully passed away on the 6th of October, 2025, at his home in Rockaway Beach, Missouri. Born on July 16, 1943, in Bolckow, Missouri, Bud lived a fulfilling life defined by dedication to his family.
Bud married the love of his life, Sharon (Pfleiderer), on July 8, 1961 in St. Joseph, Missouri. Their marriage was a lifetime of love and mutual support that flourished for 64 remarkable years. Together, they raised four children, Susan, Rick, Scott, and Mark, who were blessed to grow up in a loving home.
In his working life, Bud devoted 37 years of service to Wire Rope from which he retired.
Bud enjoyed many pastimes. He was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. He enjoyed fishing and watching westerns and reruns finding pleasure in the familiar stories that reminded him of simpler times.
Anyone who knew Bud knew of his pride in his perfectly-kept yard, which was a reflection of his meticulous nature and love of beauty. He was even more proud of his children and grandchildren. For Bud, family always came first and he leaves a legacy of devotion and love not only with his family but with all who knew him.
Bud will be deeply missed by his wife, Sharon Puckett of the home; children, Susan Waller of St. Joseph, Rick Puckett of Rockaway Beach, Scott Puckett of Forsyth and Mark Puckett of St. Joseph; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Jerry Puckett, Raymond Puckett, Joyce Moss all of St. Joseph and Connie Davis of Kansas City, MO.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester & Leana Puckett; siblings, George Puckett, Larry Puckett, Ralph Puckett and Anna Thompson and two grandchildren, Scott Puckett and Mark Puckett.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
