James Carrol “Cab” Lombard, age 71, of Rocky Comfort, Missouri passed away Monday, May 5, 2025 at CoxHealth Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri.
He was born November 12, 1953 in Monett, Missouri the son of Carrol Henderson Donald and Wilma Dean (Royer) Lombard.
Surviving are his mother, Wilma Smith of Monett, Missouri; his companion of nine years, Callie Reed of Rocky Comfort, Missouri; son, Dustin Lombard of Wheaton, Missouri; daughters, Tabitha Lombard of Moberly, Missouri and Angela Farmer and her husband Jeremiah of Pierce City, Missouri; three sisters, Kathy Eden of Monett, Missouri, Kelli Adams and her husband Rick of Wheaton, Missouri and Susan Weston and her husband Jeremy of Monett, Missouri; 11 grandchildren, Gairon, Kellie, Tiara, Sara, Tori, Joey, Brianna, Brian, Ethan, McKayla and Rian and five great grandchildren, Paisley, Blakeleigh, Elizabeth, Octavia and Olivia.
Preceding him in death were his father, Carroll Henderson Donald Lombard; brother, Kendall Murray and a grandson, Tyler Misner.
Cab attended school in Wheaton and Monett, Missouri, living in this area all his life. He was a truck driver for 32 years, transporting goods to almost every state. Cab loved camping, fishing, and working on vehicles, but most of all he loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, and family. He was a member of Wheaton United Methodist Church.
Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, May 9, 2025 at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Pastor Bob Howard will conduct the service. Burial will be at a later date at Muncie Chapel Cemetery in Wheaton, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until service time Friday at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
