
Jim Lassiter, age 82, passed away on October 17, 2025.
Jim Lassiter was born April 15, 1943, in Berryville, Arkansas. He was the only son of Fred and Bertha Lassiter. The family moved to Cassville in 1949. He grew up in Cassville and lived the majority of his adult life here making him a Wildcat at heart. In high school he was the center of the offensive line for the Cassville Wildcats. He grew up to become the center of the Cassville community serving as an active member of Rotary for 50 years and he was honored to be a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award. He was a supporter in the restoration of the historic Bayless House, Cornerstone Christian Ministries, Tunnel to Towers and continued to be a champion for the Cassville Wildcats until his death on October 17, 2025. By family and friends, he will forever be remembered as an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.
Above all else, Jim loved Jesus and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cassville. He loved his church family as much as he loved his biological family. He is survived by his wife, Ann Lassiter, four daughters, Marilyn, Linda, Anne and Laura, two sons, Eric and Jon, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor James Weaver will conduct the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations be made to Cornerstone Christian Ministries or Tunnel to Towers in memory of Jim.
