JoAnn (Choate) Brewer

JoAnn (Choate) Brewer.

JoAnn (Choate) Brewer was born September 26, 1933 in Checotah, Oklahoma.  She was the oldest of six children born to James & Viola Choate. Her family moved to Arizona where JoAnn grew up in Stanfield and Casa Grande, Arizona, graduating from Casa Grande Union High School.

In 1954, JoAnn married Thomas Irby Brewer.  They were blessed with five children and spent much of their life living in Arizona and California. Along with being an amazing wife and mother, JoAnn worked outside the home in the pharmacy department for a retail store.

JoAnn entered into rest on May 16, 2025 at her home in Omaha, AR at the age of 91.

She will be remembered for her loving nature, her thoughtful gestures, and her unwavering faith.  After becoming a Christian at a young age, Joanne lived out her faith in the way she interacted with grace and love to everyone.  She attended Crossroads Community Church in Harrison, AR and cherished her church family.

JoAnn enjoyed traveling, yet no place was as dear to her as being with her family. The times spent surrounded by her children and grandchildren were her most cherished moments, filled with love, homemade cookies, swimming in the pool and the making of lifelong memories.

Her joy for life was also evident in her passion for baking, cooking, sewing and creating beautiful crafts. Everything she did added comfort and beauty to the lives of those around her.

JoAnn will be deeply missed by her children, Darrel Brewer of Summer, WA, Kenneth Brewer of Omaha, AR, Delbert Brewer of Sahuarita, AZ and Annette Brewer of Harrison, AR; her siblings, Sonny Choate, Coleen Weeks, Roy Choate, Faye Van Langen and Carmen Marflak; her eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Viola Choate, her husband Irby Brewer and one daughter, Patti Kim.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
