Kevin Lee Cutbirth, age 61 , passed away on January 27, 2026.
Kevin Lee Cutbirth was born April 26, 1964 in Branson, Missouri. He was the only child and beloved son of Gean & Erlane (Fowler) Cutbirth.
On April 11, 1987 Kevin married Sherri Ann Brown at New Haven General Baptist Church in Chestnutridge. They made their home in Chestnutridge and were blessed with two children, Kaitlyn LeAnn Cutbirth Grube and Dustin Clay Cutbirth.
He was a life-long resident of Southwest Missouri, growing up in Branson and graduating from Branson High School. He enjoyed being an undercover narcotics cop and being a firefighter. He worked for Branson fire and volunteered at Highlandville. He loved seeing his grandkids and watching them grow. One of his favorite things was watching his grandson Shayne hit golf balls into the field behind his house and then go fetch them with the side by side. He loved watching Shayne mess with the chickens even though Sherri and Shayne wanted them. He thought it was funny when Shayne would go in there with a chair and just sit in the chicken coop with his chickens and just pet them as they went by. He loved woodworking, his passion was building cabinets. He loved seeing the finished product when they were installed, it gave him such joy. He and Dustin were working on cabinets together to be closer to each other. He enjoyed every minute that he could spending with his son and his son’s children.
Kevin entered into the presence of Jesus, on Tuesday morning, January 27, 2026 at 11:52 am from Cox Medical Center in Springfield.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherri Cutbirth in June of 2025 and his parents, H. Gean & W. Erlane (Fowler) Cutbirth.
Kevin will be deeply missed by his two children and their spouses, Kaitlyn Grube and her husband Eric of Ozark, MO, Dustin Cutbirth and his wife Linda of Chestnutridge; four grandchildren, Shayne Grube, Lincoln Cutbirth, Dottie Cutbirth and Casper Cutbirth; his mother-in-law, Glenette Brown of Chestnutridge; along with a host of extended family, many friends and his cherished church family.
Visitation will be Thursday evening, February 5, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at New Haven General Baptist Church, 581 State Hwy A, Chestnutridge, MO 65630. Funeral services will be Friday, February 6, 2026 at 10:00 am in New Haven General Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Schupbach Cemetery.
