Louis Wayne Sorbo, age 72, passed away on November 22, 2025.
Louis Wayne Sorbo, 72, passed away peacefully at his home near Yellville, Arkansas, on November 22, 2025, following a lengthy illness. He was born on October 31, 1953, to Albert Richard and Sheila T. Sorbo.
Born into an Air Force family, Louis spent his childhood moving to bases in Japan, Hawaii, Illinois, Colorado, and Texas. These early experiences shaped his curiosity and resilience. He began his working life in construction and went on to become a commercial electrician—a career he approached with dedication and pride. In 1986, he moved his family to Arkansas, where he built his home in the quiet hills of Marion County. There, he found deep comfort in his land, his community, and the peaceful life he created.
Louis faced his illness with courage and quiet strength, supported lovingly by his devoted wife. He will be remembered for his steadfast spirit, kindness, and the warmth he offered to everyone who knew him. Throughout his life, he found joy in his family, music, literature, and travel. To those close to him, he was a steady and caring presence, and his memory will be cherished always.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kenneth Harland Sorbo. He is survived by his wife, Sabra Dawn Sorbo, of Yellville; his son, Jeffrey Scott Sorbo, of Easthampton, Massachusetts; his sister, Alicia Ayn Dahl, of Richmond, Texas; his brother-in-law, Scott Sheldon Boyd, of Brownfield, Texas; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
