Michael Alexander Kasner, age 68, passed away on December 22, 2025.
Michael Alexander Kasner, age 68, of Branson, Missouri, passed away December 22, 2025. He entered this life on December 28, 1956, the son of Gerald and Edna (Phelps) Kasner in Lapeer, Michigan.
A lover of his solitude, Michael’s heart was never far from his family and his faith in God. In Maui, he found golden years filled with joy and peace, a chapter of his life that shone brightly. A vagabond at heart, Michael wandered with curiosity and freedom, sometimes a rascal, always a soul with laughter close at hand. Above all, he was a good man—one whose love and spirit will be remembered long after the journey’s end.
Music was his gift and joy. Michael delighted in playing, teaching, and performing guitar, sharing melodies that lifted spirits and brought people together. His passion extended beyond music; he cared deeply about civil rights and the basic dignity of every person. With curiosity and openness, Michael sought out new places and experiences, embracing life’s diversity with warmth and wonder. Michael is survived by his sister, Patricia Kasner of Elkhart, Indiana, and son, Christopher Kasner of Goshen, Indiana. He is also survived by one niece, one nephew, and four granddaughters.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Edna Kasner; father, Gerald Kasner; sister, Rose Snoblen; and brother, John Kasner.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be to the family on cash app: $ChristopherKasner. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
