
Peter Merrell Haslett, age 48, of Branson, Missouri.
Peter Merrell Haslett, age 48, of Branson, Missouri, passed away suddenly on June 16, 2025. He entered this life on November 27, 1976, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the son of Mark Haslett and Kristine (Lewis) Clemens. Peter was preceded in death by his mother, Kristine and stepfather, Gilbert Clemens.
From an early age, Peter demonstrated a passion for music, which brought joy not only to him but also to his family and friends. His remarkable talent included composing, playing the trumpet and piano, and singing. Peter served in the United Sates Navy, of which he took great pride. The Salvation Army was a large part of his life, of which he attended, worked at, and served overseas to teach kids music. Peter was a huge Star Trek fan, enjoyed British television and loved the Chicago Cubs. Although their time was heartrendingly brief, he loved his kids more than anything on this earth. Peter will be forever cherished and never forgotten.
He is survived by his father and stepmother: Mark and Sue Haslett of Branson, Missouri; children: Jessica, Alexis, Matthew, and Abigail; and grandchildren: Aurelia and Radley. Peter is also survived by his brother, Andrew Haslett of Chicago, Illinois; sister, Anna Haslett-Adams of West Fork, Arkansas; stepbrother, Roger McGill of Olathe, Kansas; stepbrother, Russell McGill of Cottage Grove, Minnesota; and stepsister, Rebecca Miller of Holt, Missouri.
