Raymon Gross, age 96, passed away on February 1, 2026.
Raymon Gross, passed away peacefully in his sleep, on February 1, 2026, at the age of 96. He was a lifetime resident of Omaha, AR.
Raymon was born on July 18, 1929 in Ridgedale, MO to William Melvin Gross and Lula Missouri (Atchison) Gross. He married Voncille Blevins on August 9, 1950, in Harrison, AR & enjoyed 56 years with the love of his life.
Raymon proudly served as a Sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict earning the Bronze Service Star and was part of a 155 Howitzer section in the 189th Field Artillery Bn., 145th Infantry Division. Upon returning home, Raymon worked as a carpenter, building many homes and commercial buildings in the Branson & Omaha areas and was known for his great craftsmanship and attention to detail. He never met a stranger & enjoyed visiting with people, often stopping by to chat with people when he made a trip to town. Raymon & Voncille loved working in their garden, & being devoted parents & grandparents.
Raymon was preceded in death by his parents, William & Lula Gross; his wife, Voncille Gross; brothers, Arlis Gross and Everett Gross; sisters, Edna Sizemore, Laurene Allen, Audie Kenyon and Fredleen Kellett and his great-granddaughter, Brady SueAnn Lippe.
He will forever be missed by his children, Eddie Gross (Doris) of Branson, MO, Teresa Phillips (Ron) of Everton, AR and Larry Gross (Carla) of Camdenton, MO; grandchildren, Eddie Gross, Kathy Eaton, Brad Lippe, Paula Sanders and Kelsey Cyr, along with eleven great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 4, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, 1638 E. State Hwy 76, Branson, MO.
Funeral services will be Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Omaha Baptist Church, 199 Church St., Omaha, AR, with Bro. Gene France officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Valley Cemetery, Hollister, MO with full military honors by the United States Army and BVA 913.
