Richard Leroy “Rick” Nelson, age 69, of Cassville, Missouri.

Richard Leroy “Rick” Nelson, age 69, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Mercy Hospital Cassville in Cassville, Missouri.

He was born June 6, 1955 in Topeka, Kansas the son of Leroy and Olan Frances (Martin) Nelson, who preceded him in death.

Surviving are his companion, Patricia Connor of Cassville, Missouri; son, Vince Nelson of Aurora, Missouri; brother, Daryl Nelson and his wife Vickie of Monett, Missouri and granddaughter, Paisley Nelson.

Rick attended school in Marionville, Missouri graduating from Marionville High School. He was employed by the Aurora Waste Water Treatment Plant in Aurora, Missouri as a manager for 11 years. Rick had a passion for cooking and music. His love for music saw him traveling with various bands through the years. Rick’s culinary skills were enjoyed by all who had the pleasure to experience them. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
