Robert Dean “Bob” Hindbaugh, age 90, passed away on October 24, 2025.

Robert Dean “Bob” Hindbaugh was born on October 11, 1935 in Muscatine, IA.  He was one of two sons, born to Thomas & Marie Hindbaugh. 

Bob lived many years in Nichols, IA.  He raised his family there as well as farmed and worked 17 years for John Deere in plow and planter experimental.

Bob spent vacations and recreational time, coming to Branson to fish.  When he retired from John Deere, he moved to Branson and later Kirbyville. He owned and operated Forsyth Welding and Ornamental Iron.  In 2003, he sold his welding business and retired for a second time to Lead Hill, AR.

Bob was mechanically minded and loved to tinker.  He also invested his skills in embroidery, customizing hats, shirts and coats with embroidered stitching.

Bob was a Shriner, member of the Branson Masonic Lodge #587, the Grotto and Eastern Star.  He was also a faithful member of Diamond City Methodist Church.

Bob entered into rest at the age of 90 at his home in Lead Hill on October 24, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Leo E. Hindbaugh; and two sons, Monte Leo Hindbaugh and William Earl Hall.

He will be deeply missed by his family:  wife, Ruth Hindbaugh of Lead Hill, Dawn Smolski (Jim) of Casa Grande, AZ, Robin Berscheid of Flora, IL, Laura Brisco (Charles) of Cape Fair, MO, Patricia B. Holt (Robert) of Clarksville, TN and Pamila Rowe (Dennis) of Elsey, MO; twenty-nine grandchildren; 107 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren plus one on the way.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at Diamond City Methodist Church, 113 E. Sunset Dr., Diamond City, AR on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 1:00 pm.

Cremation arrangements were in the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
