Robert Shannon “Bob” Alexander...

Robert Shannon “Bob” Alexander was born November 15, 1940 and passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. Bob's life exemplified commitment and love for his hometown of Branson, where he lived his entire life except for his college years and time in military service.

Bob graduated from Branson High School in 1958 and carried on his academic pursuits at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy, graduating in 1963. He served in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1965, primarily as a pharmacist stationed at a military hospital in Germany. Upon his honorable discharge, Bob returned home to Branson serving the public as a pharmacist for over 50 years.

Bob was an active outdoorsman, skillful marksman, and respected gunsmith. He devoted great time and energy to the Branson Rifle Club, its members, and its shooting range. He also engaged in mentoring others in shooting sports.

Like his father, Bob was active in the Branson Masonic Lodge #587. Bob's support for the Masonic community extended beyond local bounds as he traveled extensively assisting lodges throughout the Ozarks. He served several years as the District Deputy Grand Lecturer and held the position of Right Worshipful Brother.

Bob also gave back to his community, serving on Branson’s Board of Adjustment from 1988 to 2007, contributing to the growth and improvement of the city he loved.  He will be remembered for his professionalism, friendship, service, dedication to helping others and the legacy he leaves with the Community Foundation of Taney County.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, Helen and Al Alexander. He had no siblings, never married and leaves no children. His closest kinfolk stood at his bedside when he passed away.  Bob is survived by his first cousins Joyce Ausfahl & husband Charles of Fulton, MO, and their two children Shanna Ausfahl Haden and Charles Ausfahl, Junior; and first cousin Shannon Cave & wife Vicki Bailey Cave of Holts Summit, MO, and their daughters Jolie DuPree and Anne Cave.

Graveside services will be Sunday, June 8, 2025 at 2:00 pm in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson with Masonic Rites and Military Honors rendered.  Arrangements are in the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
