Ruth Ann Hindbaugh, age 84, passed away on December 30, 2025.
Ruth Ann Hindbaugh was born on March 13, 1941 in Muscatine, IA.
She lived many years in Nichols, IA caring for her family as a loving wife and devoted mother.
Ruth often vacationed with her family in Branson and after her husband Bob retired they moved to Branson and later Kirbyville. She and Bob owned and operated Forsyth Welding and Ornamental Iron. After selling the business in 2003, Ruth and Bob moved to Lead Hill, AR. When Bob passed away in October of 2025, Ruth moved closer to two of her daughters in Cape Fair.
Ruth was a faithful member of Diamond City Methodist Church. She loved her church family and fellowshipping with them. She was a tremendous quilter and made beautiful quilts that will be forever cherished by her family. Ruth was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister and a great friend to many.
She passed away unexpectedly while visiting her daughter in Tennessee on December 30, 2025 at the age of 84.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Byrd Franks and Leota Tompkins; her husband Robert Dean “Bob” Hindbaugh; two sons, Monte Leo Hindbaugh and William Earl Hall and brothers, Tommy Lee Tompkins, Emory Tompkins and Michael Franks.
Ruth will be deeply missed by her family: children, Laura Brisco (Charles) of Cape Fair, MO, Patricia B. Holt (Robert) of Clarksville, TN, Pamila Rowe (Dennis) of Elsey, MO, Dawn Curtis (Jim Smolenski) of Casa Grande, AZ, and Robin Berscheid of Flora, IL; twenty-nine grandchildren; 107 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held at Diamond City Methodist Church, Diamond City, AR on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at 2:00 pm.
Cremation arrangements were in the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
