Sarah Lynn Dwyer

Sarah Lynn Dwyer, age 37, passed away on January 7, 2026.

Sarah Lynn Dwyer, 37, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Hospice of the Ozarks in Mountain Home on January 7, 2026. She was born on April 13, 1988, in Joplin, Missouri, the daughter of Stan and Diane Smelser.

She called many places around the world her home over the course of her life from Missouri, Tennessee, the Philippines, Iowa; and finally, Mountain Home, Arkansas where she worked in banking and finance. She went to Ozark Christian College to pursue Kingdom building and while there she worked with the chapel stage crew. It was there she met her husband, Eric Dwyer. They were married in December of 2008, and she continued her studies online and earned a bachelor’s degree from Lincoln Christian University. She and Eric felt the call to foster care and were blessed with a daughter, Kadance. Their church family at Christian Church of Mountain Home has supported them through many of life’s challenges and were a great comfort.

Sarah enjoyed canoeing with friends, the local lakes, art, baking delicious desserts, worshipping the Lord, and loving her family and friends, including her work family at Anstaff Bank. Sarah was preceded in resurrection by her grandparents and her mother Diane. She is survived by her husband Eric, daughter Kadance, her grandmother Freda Eldridge, parents, Stan and Cindy Smelser, siblings, Amanda Pierorazio (Jim) and Matt Smelser (Caitlyn), and her sweet nephew Crosby and her many beloved aunts and uncles and cousins from Missouri, Iowa and Germany.
Sarah will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

A visitation is planned for Saturday the 10th, 2026 at 3:00PM, followed by the Celebration of Life starting at 4:00PM at the Christian Church of Mountain Home.  Officiating the service will be Sarah’s dear husband and pastor of the church, Eric Dwyer. Arrangements are under the care of Diamond State Cremation located in Lead Hill, Arkansas.
