Shirley Jean Harris, age 88, passed away on February 8, 2026.
Shirley Jean Harris, age 88, of Ridgedale, Missouri, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026. She entered this life on October 15, 1937, the daughter of William and Helen (Clapp) Boswell in Berwyn, Illinois.
At the age of thirteen, Shirley moved to Whittier, California, where she graduated from Whittier High School in 1955. For many years, she worked as a secretary for law enforcement in Buena Park, California. Shirley moved to Ridgedale, Missouri, in 1995, with her husband, Richard Harris. During her time in the Ozarks, she worked for Branson Chamber of Commerce until her retirement.
Shirley, fueled by her adventurous spirit, had a passion for exploring new places. She was also a skilled bowler and loved spending time with her family. The memories and moments created throughout her life will be cherished by all who knew her. Shirley is survived by her daughters: Nancy Williams, Karen Piche, and Julie Cortez; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Lee Hall; second husband, Richard Harris; and brother, Bill Boswell.
There will be a private family gathering held at a later date in California. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
