Thomas Ray “Tom” Engstrom, age 67, of Cassville, Missouri passed away on May 22, 2025 at Mercy Hospital in Cassville, Missouri. Born on August 29, 1957 in Cambridge, Minnesota to the late Roy and Janet (Woolery) Engstrom.
Tom is survived by his beloved girlfriend, Mary Vermillion of Cassville, Missouri; his three daughters, Heather Peterson and her husband Troy of Pine City, Minnesota, Heidi Mattson of Andover, Minnesota, and Jenn Engstrom and her husband Paul Ross of Minneapolis, Minnesota; one brother, Mike Engstrom and his wife Jean of Arkansas; his sisters, Penni Skaggs and her husband Stan of Isanti, Minnesota, and Traci Chilton and her husband Dave of Arkansas and four grandchildren.
He graduated from Cambridge High School and went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Air Force. After his military service, he found his calling as a skilled machinist, he was known for his precision and dedication to crafting specialty parts.
Tom's life was marked by an unwavering passion for the hands-on arts. He enjoyed the serenity of his garden, where he could often be found tending to his plants. Tom’s hands were rarely still, as he was always engaged in some form of creation, be it building arts and crafts, remodeling a room, or sitting quietly with sewing and crocheting projects. His talents were vast, and his creations will be cherished for generations to come.
A celebration of life to honor Tom will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
