Wesley “Lance” Matthews, age 51, of Garfield, Arkansas

Wesley “Lance” Matthews, age 51, of Garfield, Arkansas, passed away on September 12, 2021. He entered this life on May 3, 1970, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, the son of Wesley Matthews and Virginia (Daniel) Henley.

With an adventurous spirit, Lance loved riding motorcycles and was always up for his next adventure. Lance proudly served our country in the United States Army. He enjoyed playing guitar, watching motorsports and football, and traveling. In his working life, Lance drove semitrucks. Lance was a wonderful son, father, brother, and friend; he will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

He is survived by his son, Caleb Thomas of Huntsville, Arkansas; his mother, Virginia Henley of Blue Eye, Missouri; his father, Wesley Matthews of Scottsdale, Arizona; his brother, Thomas Wade Henley of Colorado; his aunt, Nancy (Daniel) Clarke and her husband Robert Clarke of Rogers, Arkansas; as well as beloved cousins and their mates.
