Kimberling City Police Celebrate First of Two National Night Out Events

While the national organization designates two nights for their annual event to encourage Law Enforcement Agencies to reach out to the public, one area department has events scheduled for both nights.

The National Association of Town Watch coordinates the annual events with most departments using the first Tuesday in August to celebrate while others plan events around the first Tuesday in October.

According to a post on their Facebook page, the Kimberling City Police Department has events planned on both nights beginning Tuesday.

For the first event, there will be grills set up in six neighborhoods in town serving free hot dogs to residents between 6:00 and 8:00 pm. Members of the department will be on hand to meet residents and let them know what has been going on with the department and their programs.

According to the Facebook post, the locations are:

• 15 Skyline Drive
• 17 Northwoods Drive
• 6 Shamrock Way – Irish Hills
• Cedar Wood Resort
• Schooner Bay Landing
• 1 W. Aspen Lane

The department is also encouraging residents to light up the city with Blue Lights on Tuesday as well as the second Night Out Event on October 6.
